Pacific Academy is seeking an inspiring, servant-hearted leader to join our leadership team as High School Principal. This position calls for a dynamic and forward-thinking educator who will provide spiritual, academic, and administrative leadership, fostering an environment where students and staff thrive within a biblically rooted learning community. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated mentor, a strong team builder, and a visionary leader committed to both academic excellence and spiritual growth.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Administration

  • Oversee the academic, spiritual development, financial management, and High School operations.
  • Articulate and implement a strategic vision for the high school, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and values.
  • Foster a positive school culture where students, staff, and families feel valued, engaged, and supported.
  • Be a role model of Christian character, demonstrating a commitment to servant leadership and integrity
  • Maintain compliance with provincial regulations, accreditation standards, and school policies.

Academic Excellence & Curriculum Development

  • Oversee curriculum planning, development, and implementation, ensuring a Christ-centered education.
  • Stay informed of educational best practices, adapting and innovating as needed.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to assess instructional effectiveness and student achievement, making necessary adjustments to improve learning outcomes.
  • Encourage and support innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs and promote academic excellence.
  • Guide faculty in implementing best practices in instruction and assessment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Teacher & Staff Development

  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and evaluation to teachers, supporting spiritual and professional growth and development
  • Promote a collaborative staff culture, encouraging teamwork and shared ownership.
  • Empower and equip staff to utilize their giftings/skills in serving and leading in our community.
  • Support faculty in integrating biblical principles into their teaching, reinforcing the school’s commitment to Christian education.
  • Supervise and evaluate faculty and staff.
  • Ensure school policies and procedures are being followed.

Student & Community Engagement

  • Foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment, ensuring the social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of students.
  • Implement fair and consistent disciplinary policies, upholding school values while encouraging student growth.
  • Actively engage with parents, alumni, and the broader community, strengthening relationships and promoting school initiatives.
  • Encourage student involvement in leadership, service, and extracurricular activities, helping them develop holistically.

Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Manage the High School’s budget and resources effectively, ensuring financial responsibility and sustainability.
  • Oversee safety protocols for High School buildings and operations

  • A Respected Leader with Integrity – Known for integrity, honesty, humility, accountability, and commitment to servant leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid British Columbia Teaching Certificate
  • Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous administrative experience in a Christian school setting
  • Actively practicing and supporting a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
