Mandarin Pastor for Young Adults

Seeking a dedicated and spiritually mature Pastor who is passionate to love and groom young Christian adults in their walk with Christ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Mandarin young adult ministry, organizing, supporting and aligning ministry activities with the church’s five purposes: worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and mission.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To lead and coordinate the young adult ministry, creating a welcoming and spiritually enriching environment for young adults.
  • To build the coaches/counsellors team, young adult ministry committee, and geo group leader team
  • To organize and support young adult geo groups to foster close-knit communities and spiritual growth within each zone.
  • To develop and implement ministry strategies aligned with the five purposes.
  • To collaborate with the worship team to create worship experiences that resonate with young adults.
  • To encourage young adults to actively participate in church worship; use their gifts in service to God; and live out a purpose-driven life following the Intentional Discipleship Pathway (IDP).
  • To provide teaching, mentorship, and guidance through Bible studies, discipleship programs, and one-on-one spiritual counselling.
  • To attend all required staff meetings (weekly Chapel, People group meeting, Purpose group meeting, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Have the passion to love the young adult group
  • Have the patience and heart to walk along them to help them blossom.
  • Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or equivalent.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (Oral and written)
  • 3-year experience in young adult ministry, pastoral care, and discipleship
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, cast clear vision, teaching skills, counselling, and leadership skills.
  • Mature spiritual life and insights in bible teaching
  • Strong commitment to the church’s vision and five purposes.

Working Conditions

Regular office hours, evening, and weekend duty in accordance with the RHCCC Staff Handbook. For greater clarity, the successful candidate will be expected to attend to his/her duties on Friday evenings for Youth Fellowship, Sunday Services and such other times required.
