Mandarin Pastor

The Evangelical Free Church of Lethbridge (EFCL) is seeking a Mandarin Pastor to lead and coordinate Mandarin language programming and build meaningful connections within the local Mandarin-speaking community. This part-time role (20 hours per week) involves spiritual leadership, community outreach, and fostering growth within the Mandarin-speaking congregation, in alignment with EFCL’s mission to make disciples in Lethbridge.

Spiritual and Personal Qualities

• Strong commitment to the vision, mission, and values of EFCL.
• A servant’s heart with a passion for pastoral care and community building.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in theology, pastoral ministry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Previous experience in pastoral ministry, particularly within Mandarin-speaking communities, is preferred.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong biblical knowledge and ability to communicate Scripture effectively in Mandarin.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to the needs of Mandarin-speaking individuals and families.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Working Conditions

• This is a part-time role (20 hours per week) with a flexible schedule to accommodate ministry needs, including evenings and weekends, as required.
• The Mandarin Pastor will report to the Discipleship Ministry Lead and work closely with the pastoral team.
