Pastoral Intern

Chinese Gospel Church Scarborough’s English congregation is looking for an individual who wishes to be involved in ministry with youth.  This person should be passionate about building relationships with youth, leading them to Christ and helping them grow in discipleship and service.

Our youth program (grades 9-12) currently has about 40 youth attending fellowship on Friday nights and 25 for Sunday School.

The job requirements are:

  • Develop and teach lessons for Friday fellowship and Sunday School in conjunction with teams of volunteers for both ministries
  • Help organize a team of volunteers
  • Assist in the development of the Friday fellowship and Sunday School schedules
  • Meet with youth outside of fellowship for more direct discipleship, following safety rules
  • Coordinate teaching topics between the Friday fellowship and Sunday School teams

Additional Requirements

  • Police background check
  • Agreement with the AGC statement of faith

Experience: Some ministry experience is essential, but paid ministry experience, and experience in Chinese or cross-cultural ministry is an asset.
Start Date: ASAP 2025
Hours: 10-15 hours a week (depending upon availability)
Pay: Will be based on previous experience and education
