We are looking for an independent contractor who is certified to teach in BC for our Nanaimo Community Connections+ program location. It is preferred that the applicant has experience working at a Community Connections location. This is a 0.26 position: one day (Thursday) on-site for 30 weeks at Generations Church for the 2025-26 school year. 

Community Connections Plus (CC+) are in person learning opportunities that are one full day per week for 30 weeks where students collaborate in a class setting with a home-education flavour with a focus on meaningful and hands-on learning activities. CC+ classes are led by BC certified teachers fully responsible for covering all CC+ course outcomes.

This position will be teaching:

  • ADST (Grades 6,7,8)
  • Science (Grades 6,7,8)
  • Social Studies (Grades 6,7,8)

Competitive Wage:  $17,000 – $20,000/year  based on 0.26 FTE and depending on experience and certifications
